Dr. Alshahrour earned his medical degree from the University of Aleppo Faculty of Medicine. He completed his medical internship at New York Methodist Hospital in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and his specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology at John J. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, located in Chicago’s Illinois Medical District.
Dr. Alshahrour remains actively involved in continuing medical education and participates in obstetrics and gynecology research across multiple academic institutions, including the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. In 2005, he worked with renowned urogynecological surgeon Oscar Flores-Carreras at the University of Guadalajara, where he received extensive hands-on training in incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse surgery.
